Day 16: Asher

Meet our little buddy Asher!  His little blonde curls just melt my heart.... and that smile, it might as well be a ray of sunshine!

I found Asher's blog when I was pregnant with Isaac.  Asher also has OEIS like Isaac.  Once Isaac was born, I got in contact with Asher's mom Kassy, and even though I only know her through email, she has been a supportive friend to me this year.  I can write to her about things that she truly does understand.  We have shared our struggles, worries and joys with each other and we both pray for each other's boys.

I remember one time when I was sharing that I so desperately wanted Isaac to move his legs, she reminded me of miracles and said she would keep praying for him to just kick me one day!  It made my day!  She reminded me that I needed to have hope and not give up on hope.

As you can tell Asher is an adorable little guy.  Asher is 18 months old.  He has fought many odds with his condition including being born at 29 weeks gestation.  I am constantly amazed at these children.  Asher recently started walking with support (his special shoes are awesome!).  One thing that has been a challenge for Asher is taking food by mouth and vomitting daily.  Last year he got a feeding tube to ensure he receives proper nutrition.

Today I pray for sweet, little Asher.  I pray that for complete healing of his body.  I pray for his body to stop vomitting and I pray that he will take food so that he can get rid of his feeding tube.  I am thankful for the friendship I have with his mom, Kassy.  I hope one day, we can meet.  I can just image that Isaac and Asher would have a blast together!

Check out Asher's blog.  It's adorable!
