Isaac Michael arrived at 10:09 pm with a strong cry, a beautiful little face, and a dark head of curls. Isaac was ready to enter the world. He arrived 5 1/2 weeks too early but that didn't stop him. He wanted to see the world. He wanted to share something big with the world.
Isaac, the doctors brought you over to me, and all I could think was, "Thank you. He is here. He is beautiful." At that moment, I knew we had a long journey ahead, but I could see the determination in your eyes.
The had to take you over to Children's and take you from me, but I knew you needed to be in the best possible place. Daddy never left your side.
The doctors took good care of you and your were so peaceful, enjoying your paci. Daddy couldn't stop telling me just how amazing you were.
And when he held you in his arms for the first time, Daddy's life was touched in ways he can't describe.
It seemed like eternity until Mommy could hold you, but when I did, the wait was worth it.
You are so tough.
You are so beautiful.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart. You have touched our lives in more ways than you will ever know.
Today I pray for my sweet angel, Isaac. I pray that he always knows how loved he is and that he can do anything. I pray for health and healing and happiness always. Thank you for blessing our lives with this strong, beautiful soul.
