Day 22: Gabe

I started this blog so that I could easily update all of our family and friends on Isaac's medical status, request prayers and share Isaac's success.  I am usually a pretty private person so sharing things on here can be challenging for me, but it has also been so uplifting to know that so many people care about his success.  I hope that Isaac reads it one day and knows just how amazing he is.

It may be called Isaac's Inspiration, but I am equally inspired and proud of my first born, Gabe.

I hope Gabe always knows that I became a mother the night he was born.  I will always remember that defining moment in my life, when they laid this precious being upon me so; little, so helpless, so beautiful.

He has taught me that motherhood is a lot of hard work, but the rewards are much greater and the love is exponential.

He has brought so much joy to my life.  He is so sweet, funny and compassionate.  He lives with his heart on his sleeve and is so loving.

Last year today, was the last day that he was my only child.  A year ago tomorrow, he became a big brother.... and boy, he has surpassed my expectations of what that would look like.  He is an amazing big brother.

Seeing him with Isaac helps me to see love in it's purest form.  They will encourage, strengthen and guide each other to success as they grow together.

Today I pray for my precious little Gabriel.  In him I find strength, happiness and love.  I am so grateful for the gift of him.  I pray for health and happiness for Gabriel today and always.  Thank you Gabriel, for being exactly the person God intended you to be.
